연구 목적: 이 연구는 방문판매원의 심리적 회복을 돕기 위해 방문판매원 소진의 원인과 회복 요인을 탐구하였다. 연구 방법 : 3년 이상 근무한 방문판매원을 대상으로 개별 인터뷰를 실시하였으며, 결과는 개념도 연구법으로 분석하였다. 연구 내용 : 방문판매원의 소진과 회복 요인을 탐색하였다. 결론 및 제언 : 소진의 원인으로 ‘회사 시스템에 대한 불만’, ‘업무와 성과에 대한 부담감’, ‘조직 내 관계 스트레스’, ‘고객으로 인한 스트레스’ 4개의 군집이 나타났으며, 회복 요인으로는 일의 장점과 의미 찾기’, ‘사회적 지지’, ‘정서적 대처 전략’ 등의 3개의 군집이 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 방문판매원의 소진을 예방하고, 회복을 돕기 위한 상담 개입전략 및 관련 프로그램을 개발하는 데 유용한 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
Abstract
This study explored the causes and recovery factors of burnout of door-to-door salespersons to help them recovery psychologically. Individual interviews were conducted for door-to-door salespersons who had worked for more than 3 years, and the results were analyzed using the concept mapping method. As a result, the causes of burnout were ‘dissatisfaction with the company system’, ‘burden over work and performance’, ‘relationship stress within the organization’, and ‘stress due to customers’ as four clusters. The factors of recover were ‘finding strengths and meanings’, ‘social support’, and ‘emotional coping strategies’ as three clusters. These results are expected to be useful in developing counseling intervention strategies and related programs to prevent the burnouts of door-to-door salespeople and help recovery.
