시대별로 살펴본 체육 정의적 관점의 개념

Abstract

It is true that there had been a lack of cultural research toward establishing the concept of physical education. The fact is that physical education in schools were becoming insufficient accompanied by considerable limitations in forming the actual education paradigm of physical education as a result of Korean physical education concepts not being abie to reflect the characteristics and trend of modern society. Therefore, an argument on establishing the new concept of physical education which corresponds to the transition in the concepts of physical education and the modern trend would be clearly required. The purpose of research is at the reexamination of Korean physical education of new paradigm which reflects the requirement and trend of modern times in the concept of physical education. First, for the chronic characteristics toward modern physical education in general, the physical education before 1900 has the color of body training and the physical education after 1900 began to emphasize on physical training as an education. In terms of chronic definition of our country's physical education, it could be said that 1970's was the times in which the physical education was generally conceived as education through the body or the education using the body. Second, for the definition of physical education in 2000's, the activities being performed in the name of physical education including first, the physical activity including sports, second, academic subjects such as sports physiology, physical dynamics, etc and third, the practical P. E education which possesses the specialized characteristics, were defined as a physical education to form a human character. A developmental significance of physical education would have to be granted by the signification of reconsiderations in the transition process toward the definition of physical education in history and presentation of future vision. In other words, it would have to be developed into the definition including the integrated significance in sports and leisure activities as well as the importance of health.
