초록
도덕성은 일체의 도덕 현상을 가능하게 하는 본질적 특성이자 근본적 기초이다. 사회적 인습은 도덕성과 함께 도덕적 삶에 대한 주요 변수를 이루는 것으로서사회 구성원들의 동의에 근거하여 통용되는 습관이나 관례를 뜻한다. 도덕성이 사회적 인습에 비추어 자리하는 위상은 크게 셋으로 구별될 수 있다. 첫째, 도덕성은사회적 인습에 얽매이지 않고 덕을 갖추는 데 요구되는 성질이다. 덕 윤리의 관점이다. 둘째, 도덕성은 그 발달 수준에 있어서 사회적 인습을 준거로 하여 차이를보인다. 인지발달이론의 관점이다. 셋째, 도덕성은 사회적 인습과 서로 별개의 영역으로서 구분되어 발달된다. 영역이론의 관점이다. 도덕성은 사회적 인습에 대하여 바람직하고 합리적인 형태로 향상될 필요가 있다
Abstract
Morality is the essential quality and fundamental basis enabling one to do everything of moral phenomenon. Social convention, which is another major variable for moral life with morality, means custom or practice circulated by the consent of social members. The morality viewed with regard to social convention has three phases. First, morality is a quality to get virtues not being bound by social convention as a general view of virtue ethics. Second, morality is classified in its level in conformity to social convention that refers to the theory of cognitive development. Third, morality is differentiated in development from social convention like the view of domain theory. Morality should be improved reasonably and desirably with regard to social convention.
