어린이의 도덕교육을 위해서 어린이의 도덕성이 어떻게 발달하고 있는가를 확인하는 것은 중요하다. 도덕성 발달은 신념의 발달, 판단의 발달, 정서의 발달, 행동의 발달이라는 종합적 관점에서 접근되어야 한다. 이 글은 어린이의 도덕성 발달을 이런 제 측면에서 살펴보고, 종합적인 관점에서 어린이 도덕성 발달이 우리 도덕과 교육과정에 어떻게 반영되고 있는가를 논의하였다. 그 결과, 우리 초등 도덕과 교육과정에 도덕성 발달론은 일반적인 형태로 전제되어있다는 것을 확인하고 보다 구체적인 도덕성 발달에 토대한 교육과정 구성을 제언하였다.
Abstract
It is very important to see how children develop their morality for moral education. The moral development includes emotional, cognitive and behavioral development. This paper reviewed important theories of moral development in the integrated perspective view and analyzed how to reflect them in the curriculum of elementary moral education. As a result, it was confirmed that the elementary curriculum of moral education has presupposed a general, but uncertain moral development theory. Therefore, this paper proposed that the curriculum should stand on the moral development foundation apparently.
