서울대 입학 전 교육 강좌 ‘창의적 사고와 글쓰기’에 대한 고찰 : 창의성 개념을 중심으로

2010년 1월에 실시된 서울대학교 입학 전 교육에 포함되었던 강좌 ‘창의적 사고와 글쓰기’의 운영 방식을 칭의성 개념 중심으로 돌이켜 검토하고 고찰하였다. 이 강좌의 운영 방식이 과연 창의성 제고에 기여할 수 있는지, 그 창의성은 구체적으로 어떤 모습인지를 밝히려 했다. 먼저 강좌의 운영 방식을 여섯 항목으로 정리하고 교재 도서 중심 운영, 자발성에 대한 강조, 격려 첨삭, 글쓰기 외의 활동이라는 네 측면에 대해 살펴본 후 한계 및 의의를 정리하였다. ‘창의적 사고와 글쓰기’ 강좌는 입학 예정자를 대상으로 한다는 상황 맥락에 맞춰 창의적 성향 혹은 정서 창의성을 북돋은 것으로 평가할 수 있다.
Abstract
This paper aims to introduce 'Critical thinking and writing', a course offered for to-be-freshmen of Seoul National University in January 2010, and to reflect its organization from the perspective of the concept 'Creativity'. In this course, 20~25 students read textbook, discuss and write their opinions and imaginations. Lecturers' role was minimized in order to promote students' autonomous and creative thinking. Regarding several aspects of this course such as 1)using textbook as a starting point to critical thinking, 2)focus on students' active thinking and writing, 3)lecturer's encouraging feedback, and 4) various activities including drawing and play performance, this course can be considered to focus more on promoting creative tendency rather than creative ability with consideration of students' press (in other words, circumstance or context).
