Abstract
In this paper, the main focus is on the perspective of Liang-Shiqiu and Pi-cheondeuk's creation on personality, and the comparative analysis is based on their representative essay book, Yashexiaopin and In-yeon. Through this study, it can be confirmed that they have insight into the meaning of life that we have not realized while dealing with ordinary daily life and expressing personality in various ways. It can also be seen that they have a unique attachment to William Shakespeare and have built their own creative foundation. First, in order to effectively convey the subject and practice the value of personality literature, Liangshiqiu mainly used three creative methods: description and analysis in his works, humor and satirical writing, and citation of related knowledge. First, he summarized various aspects of personality from a rational and contemplative perspective and analyzed their properties. He analyzed the attributes of personality with an in-depth description of people's common reactions and attitudes in everyday life, and described and analyzed the attributes and deceitfulness of personality that have been altered in an absurd society. Second, he expressed personality with humor and criticized the ills of personality and society with lively satire. Looking at the work, it expresses personality and society in a perfect way, arousing exclamation and laughter, and making them look back on themselves and their surroundings. He pointed out the ills of personality and secularity with in-depth insights, but he paid more attention to humor and satire to purify personality with laughter and improve problems in a mild atmosphere. Third, he familiarized himself with the relevant knowledge of the East and the West under the title of one work, expanding his wisdom to see life and developing it into a useful discussion. Looking at the work, it discusses daily life, but it shows insight into personality and thoughts of life regardless of time and place, mentioning not only classical knowledge but also famous people and wise sayings of each period. As a result, Liangshiqiu is praised as a master of essay, and Yashexiaopin is an "encyclopedia of personality" that shows the characteristics of personality that are common in everyday life and appears in various situations. Next, Like Liang-Shiqiu's essay, Pi-Cheondeuk focused on expressing personality and insighting the meaning of life in familiar everyday topics. However, while Liang-Shiqiu focused on exploring personality and leading his literature to improvement through the description of personality and statehood, Pi-Cheondeuk concentrated on purifying personality through clear and pure lyrical strokes by uniting every moment of everyday life surrounding him. Pi-Cheondeuk's creative direction mainly shone more in his "unfamiliarity" technique of looking at everyday and trivial things anew, his composition with a novel narrative about the past, and his writing style with a sense of humor. First, he highlighted the precious value of life with his lyrical strokes that give new charm to the small joys he finds in everyday life or the beauty of nature. His lyrical handwriting, which reveals the precious value of life in a trivial daily life, comes from "the small and unnamed thing," which he brings together trivial daily lives in each work and makes them meaningful in a beautiful way of life. Second, he emphasized the importance of relationships by evoking emotions of longing through recollections of the past. Looking at the work, he describes the stories of the past interestingly and deliciously, and in the process, the importance of the relationship stands out, and the past in memory soon changes from affectionate appreciation to a warm comfort story. Third, he discovered the elements of laughter hidden throughout his daily life with his writing skills that stand out in his sense of humor, creating friendly and natural laughter. Where his humor is displayed, there is always a role that is full of humanity and friendly to his life, and instead of satire, there is a purity that purifies one's mind behind a smile. As a result, Pi-Cheondeuk is called a national essayist who describes the beauty of personality, and In-yeon has long been loved as a essay book that pursues the value of the beauty of small but eternal personality.
