유아의 놀이에 대한 교사와 부모의 놀이신념 관련 연구 동향 분석

본 연구는 유아의 놀이에 대한 교사와 부모의 놀이신념에 대한 국내의 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 국내에서 놀이신념에 대한 연구가 처음으로 시작된 1998년부터 2019년 8월까지 21년간 발행된 학위 논문 52편, 학술지 논문 33편, 총 85편의 논문을 연구대상으로 선정하여 연구 시기, 연구 주제, 연구 방법의 분석 준거를 사용하여 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 놀이신념관련 연구 시기별 동향은 1998년 처음 연구가 수행된 이후로 꾸준히 증가하여 왔으며 2010년 이후의 시기부터 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 둘째, 연구 주제별 동향은 놀이 신념과 기타 변인간의 상관관계를 주제로 한 기초연구가 대부분을 차지하고 있다. 셋째, 연구 방법별 동향은 연구 유형에서 양적연구가 대부분을 차지하였고 그 중에서도 상관연구가 주로 수행되었으며, 질적연구와 혼합연구는 적은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 연구 대상에서 학부모를 대상으로 한 연구가 교사를 대상으로 한 연구보다 많이 수행되었다. 연구 도구는 부모놀이신념을 측정하기 위한 평가도구 4가지와 교사놀이신념을 측정하기 위한 평가도구 2가지가 확인되었으며, Fogle과 Mendez(2006)의 PPBS(Parents' Play Belief Scale)가 주로 사용되고 있다. 본 연구 결과는 유아의 놀이를 지원하는 성인의 놀이신념에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고, 유아교육 현장에서 놀이중심 교육을 지원하는 교사와 학부모의 실천을 개선하며, 향후 놀이신념 관련 연구의 방향과 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study was intended to analyze the trends of domestic researches on adults’ play belief about young children’s play. To that end, a total of 85 papers (52 dissertations and 33 academic journals), which were published for 21 years from 1998, when the research on the play beliefs first began in Korea, to August 2019, were selected as research subjects. The frequency and percentages were calculated by using the analysis criteria of research period, research topic and research method. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, with regard to the trend of the researches on the play belief of young children by period, researches have been steadily increasing since the first study was conducted in 1998, and have been more actively conducted since 2010. Second, with regard to the trend by research topics, most of the researches were based on the relationship between the play belief and other variables. Third, in terms of research methods, quantitative research was the most common in the types Among them, correlation studies were mainly conducted and qualitative researches and mixed studies accounted for a small portion. With regard to the research trend by research subjects among research methods, more researches were conducted on the parents rather than on the teachers. With regard to the trend of research tools, four evaluation tools for measuring parents’ play belief and two evaluation tools for measuring teacher’s play belief were identified, and the Parents’ Play Belief Scale (PPBS) of Fogle and Mendez (2006) was mainly used. It is expected that the results of this study would provide basic data on adults’ play beliefs that supports young children’s play, improve the practice of teachers and parents who support play-centered education in the field of early childhood education, and propose directions and implications for the future researches related to the play belief.
