초록

고대교회로부터 이어져 온 성찬기도는 한국개신교의 예전적 예배에서 그 의미와 가치를 제대로 인정받지 못했던 역사를 가졌다. 그러나 20세기 후반기부터 고대전통 안에 있는 성찬기도가 교회 연합적 관점에서 그 중요성이 부각되면서 예전적 예배의 모델 구현에 중요한 자료로 주목을 받게 되었다. 본 논문은 고대교회 성찬기도들을 살펴 그 발전상을 예식학적인 측면에서 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 여기서 다루는 고대교회의 성찬기도는 문헌상 비교적 초창기 것으로 인정되는 디다케의 성찬기도와 4세기 혹은 그 이전 것으로 간주되는 히폴리투스의 사도전승에 나오는 성찬기도를 선별해서 서로 비교하였다. 먼저, 디다케의 성찬기도는 감사의 성격이 강한 유대교적 식사기도의 초안을 가지고 있었고, 삼위일체의 신학적 이해 없이 하나님과 예수와의 관계성 안에서 그 내용이 채워졌다. 반면 히폴리투스 사도전승에 나오는 성찬기도는 예식적 형식면에서나 신학적 내용면에서 확실한 발전모습이 나타나는데, 이를 통해 공동체의 정체성과 관심사, 추구하는 신학적 강조점 분명하게 나타나고 있음을 증명하고자 하였다. 이러한 고대교회 성찬기도 발전사에 대한 연구와 분석은 오늘의 예전적 예배에서 기도신학의 중요성과 예전신학의 방향설정에 이정표 역할을 할 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

The Eucharistic Prayer from the Ancient Church had the History that has not been properly recognized in the liturgical worship of the Korean Protestant. But from the second half of the twentieth century, the Eucharistic Prayer in ancient traditions became more important as a model for the liturgical worship. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the development of the Eucharistic Prayers of ancient churches from the aspect of liturgics. The Eucharistic Prayers of the ancient church handled in this paper sind these: the Eucharistic Prayer of Didache that recognized as the earliest, and the Eucharistic Prayer that appears in the Hippolyt’s Traditio Apostolica. First, the Eucharistic Prayer of Didache had a draft of a Jewish meal prayer with a strong character of gratitude, and its content was filled in the relationship between God and Jesus without the theological understanding of the Trinity. On the other hand, the Eucharistic Prayer of TA showed a clear development in both formal and theological content. In this Prayer, the identity and concern of the community and the theological emphasis were clearly shown. The study and analysis of these ancient prayers can serve als a milestone in establishing the importance of Prayer's Theology and will contribute to set the direction of liturgical Theology.
