본 연구는 초등학교 교사의 다문화 교수 역량 척도를 개발하고, 이를 타당화하여 다문화사회에서 초등학교 교사가 다문화 교수를 잘 수행할 수 있도록 역량을 함양하는 데 기여하고자 한다. 이를 문헌분석 및 전문가 검토 과정을 통하여 예비척도인 설문문항 40개를 선정하였다. 예비조사에서는 내용타당도 검증의 일환으로 40개 문항을 전문가들로부터 타당도를 검증을 받은 결과, 부적절한 문항 등을 제외하고 30개 문항을 예비 검사용 척도로 구성하여 초등학교 교사 100명을 대상으로 예비조사를 실시하였다. 그 다음으로 초등학교 교사 255명을 대상으로 본조사를 실시하였으며, 탐색적·확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 연구결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문항 내적 일관성 신뢰도 분석을 위해 실시한 Cronbach α가 .909로 높게 나타나 척도는 신뢰롭다고 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 탐색적 요인분석을 하기 위해 주요인분석 및 직접 오블리민 회전방법으로 분석한 결과(설명변량= 48.166%, 요인적재량≒0.50이상), 다문화 기술 역량(요인1, 11문항), 다문화 태도 역량(요인2, 9문항), 다문화 지식 역량(요인3, 4문항) 등의 3개 요인으로 묶였으며, 24문항의 다문화 교수 역량 척도를 최종적으로 확정하였다. 셋째, 확인적 요인분석 결과에서 잠재변인과 측정변인 간에 모든 경로계수가 p=.000 수준에서 유의하게 나타났으며, C.R. 값도 모두 1.965이상으로 적합하였다. 또한, 확인적 요인분석 모형의 적합도 결과에서는 증분적합지수인 IFI, TLI, CFI는 양호의 기준인 .90이상의 값이 나와 연구모형이 적합하다고 볼 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop the scale for elementary school teachers' multicultural teaching competency, and to obtain evidences of validation for interpreting the scores on the scale. In an effort to meet the purposes literature review was conducted to develop the scale for elementary school teachers' multicultural teaching competency. The questionnaire consists of a Likert-type scale in order to assess elementary school teachers' multicultural teaching competency. The data were analyzed using a factor analysis and 30 items were clustered by three factors in preliminary survey. The total numbers of questionnaire items were 24 items in main survey. 255 elementary school teachers participated in this survey and exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis were used. The results of this study were as follows;First, The reliability of the final 24-item scale was calculated by Cronbach's Alpha .909, and the sub-scale Cronbach's Alpha ranged from 0.675～0.897. These values were quite adequate according to the standards. Second, the scale for elementary school teachers' multicultural teaching competency was selected by 24-item through the main survey and the factor consists of three categories. Factor 1 was named 'multicultural skills competency' that consists of 11 items. Factor 2 was named 'multicultural attitudes competency' that consists of 9 items. Factor 3 was named 'multicultural knowledge competency' that consists of 4 items. Third, result of confirmatory factor analysis, goodness of fit in IFI, TLI, CFI was good.
