대학생의 온라인 학습참여 유형에 따른 성과 분석 - 일반대학과 전문대학 비교를 중심으로 –

본 연구는 디지털 대전환 시대에 대학생의 온라인 학습참여 양상을 실증적으로 분석하고 이에 영향을 미치는 예측변인을 탐색함으로써 효과적인 지원 방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 그리고 대학생의 온라인 학습참여 유형과 대학교육의 성과 간의 관계를 검증하여 적극적인 학습참여를 도모하고 더 나아가 교육 성과 증진을 위한 교육적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 한국교육개발원의 ‘대학의 교수･학습 질 제고 전략 탐색 연구’ 2주기 데이터(일반대=11,863명, 전문대=960명)를 활용하였고 잠재프로파일 분석과 R3STEP, DE3STEP 분석 방법을 이용하였다. 잠재프로파일 분석 결과, 일반대학의 학습참여 유형은 ‘소극적 학습 참여형’, ‘중간 수준 학습 참여형’,‘개인적 학습 참여형’, ‘적극적 학습 참여형’으로 분류되었다. 전문대학은 ‘소극적 학습 참여형’, ‘중간 수준 학습 참여형’, ‘사고중심-교류저조 학습 참여형’, ‘적극적 학습 참여형’의 4개 유형으로 분석되었다. 대학생의 학습참여 유형 분류에 영향을 미치는 유의미한 예측변인으로 학생 성별, 부모 학력, 학습 능력 자기평가, 진로 결정 시기, 대학의 온라인 학습 지원이 일반대학과 전문대학 공통적으로 높은 수준의학습참여 유형에 속할 가능성을 높였다. 그리고 결과변인에 대한 학습참여 유형별 차이 검증 결과, 일반대학과 전문대학에서 전반적인 학습참여 수준이 높은 유형일수록 학생 역량 수준과 대학교육을통한 역량 향상도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 기반으로 점차 확장되는 대학의 비대면 학습환경에서 학습참여 유형에 따른 맞춤형 지원으로 대학생의 적극적인 학습참여를 도모하고, 더 나아가 대학의 교육 성과로 이어질 수 있도록 효과적･체계적인 지원 방안을 모색해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study attempted to derive effective support measures by analyzing the patterns of college students' engagement in online learning and exploring variables that affect them. In addition, by verifying the relationship between college students' online learning engagement type and educational outcomes, we intend to promote active learning engagement and further present educational implications for improving educational outcomes. For this, NASEL 2nd cycle data (university = 11,863 students, college= 960 students) were used, and latent profile analysis, R3STEP, and DE3STEP analysis methods were used. As a result of the analysis, the types of learning participation in universities were classified into 'passive', 'intermediate', 'personal', and 'active'. College was analyzed into four types: 'passive', 'intermediate', 'thinking oriented-low interaction', and 'active'. As variables affecting the classification of college students' learning engagement types, student gender, parents' educational background, self-assessment of learning ability, career decision timing, and online learning support at universities have increased the likelihood that they belong to the high level of learning engagement in common with general universities and junior colleges. As a result of verifying the difference by type of learning engagement, it was found that the higher the overall level of learning engagement in general universities and junior colleges, the higher the level of student competency and the higher the level of competency improvement through university education. Based on the research results, it is necessary to seek effective and systematic support measures to promote active learning engagement of university students through customized support according to the type of learning engagement in the increasingly expanding university's non-face-to-face learning environment.
