한국 뉴스 기사의 담화 구조와 문법 구조 -관형절과 부사절의 담화 기능을 중심으로-

본 연구는 하나의 문장을 이루는 문법 구조에 대하여 독립적이고 개별적으로 분석하는 방식을 넘어서 하나의 담화에서 어떻게 기능하고 담화의 완성에 어떻게 기여하는지 분석한다. 이를 위하여 미국의 동맹국 도․감청 사건을 사건 전개의 국면에 따라 어떻게 담화를 구성해 가는지 분석하고 관형절과 부사절은 담화의 구성과 응집성, 그리고 맥락의 형성에 어떤 기능을 하는지 분석한다. 분석의 자료로 삼은 미국의 동맹국 도․감청 사건은 미국의 우크라이나 전쟁에 관한 기밀 문건이 온라인에 유포되면서 한국이 감청의 대상이었다는 사실이 함께 밝혀지며 시작된 것으로 사건 전개에 있어서 한미 관계가 하나의 축이 되고 정부의 대처와 그에 대한 야당의 공세가 또 하나의 축이 된다. 특히 한미 정상회담을 앞두고 불거진 사건으로 정부와 미국의 대처가 초미의 관심사가 된다. 뉴스 담화 내에서 관형절과 부사절은 국지적으로는 앞에 있었던 내용을 조응하거나 앞 문장과 연결하여 담화의 응집성을 높이고 참여자, 시간, 장소 등의 세부 정보를 제공하여 담화 내용을 상세화한다. 또한 관형절은 의미적 대립을 이루어 담화의 체계적 관련성을 제고하고 시간적으로 선행하거나 원인이 되는 사태를 통합하여 서사가 이어지도록 한다. 부사절은 문단의 첫머리에서 불연속성을 해소하는 기능이 많이 사용된다. 전체적으로는 관형절에는 담화의 주제 혹은 평가의 의미가 담긴 경우가 많고 부사절 역시 담화의 주제와 방향성을 나타내는 경우가 많아 담화의 거시적 의미를 완성하는 데 기여한다.
Abstract
This study analyzes how grammars function in a discourse and contributes to the completion of the discourse beyond the way it used to be analyzed. For this purpose, it analyzes how discourses are constructed based on the development of the event, and analyzes how the adnominal clauses and adverbial clauses function in the construction, cohesion, and context of the discourses. The U.S. wiretapping case, which was used as data for analysis, began when it was revealed that South Korea was the target of wiretapping when confidential documents on the Ukraine war were circulated online. Within the news discourses, adnominal clauses and adverbial clauses locally respond to or link to the preceding sentence to increase the cohesion of the discourse and detail the discourse by providing details such as participants, times, and places. In addition, adnominal clauses form semantic confrontations to enhance the systematic relevance of the discourse and to integrate events that precede or cause in time so that the narrative can continue. Adverbial clauses are often used to resolve discontinuities at the new paragraphs.
