본 연구는 최근 30년간 발표된 유아국악교육 관련 연구의 전반적인 동향을 분석하고, 주요 연구주제와 경향을 도출하여 향후 연구 방향을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 1994년부터 2024년까지 한국연구재단 등재지와 등재후보지에 게재된 유아국악교육 관련 논문 138편을 대상으로 텍스트마이닝 기반 키워드 분석과 LDA 토픽모델링 기법을 적용한 체계적 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 유아국악교육 연구는 전래동요와 장단 중심의 접근이 주를 이루었으며, 국악교육의 필요성과 효과를 강조함과 동시에 유아교사의 역량 강화의 필요성을 지속적으로 논의해 왔다. 그러나 최근 연구 지속성의 약화와 연구주제의 다양성 부족, 놀이 중심 국악교육으로의 확장이 미흡한 점 등이 한계로 드러나, 이를 보완한 후속 연구의 필요성이 제기되었다. 본 연구는 유아국악교육 연구의 성과와 한계를 체계적으로 진단하고, 향후 연구 방향을 제시함으로써 유아국악교육의 학문적⋅실천적 발전을 위한 기초자료를 제공하였다는 데 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study analyzed the overall research trends in early childhood Korean music education over the past 30 years, identifying key research themes and future directions. To achieve this, 138 articles published in Korea Citation Index (KCI) journals and candidate journals from 1994 to 2024 were systematically analyzed using keyword analysis and LDA topic modeling, both based on text mining techniques. The results indicated that most of the studies focused on traditional children's songs and jangdan (rhythmic patterns), while continuously emphasizing the importance and effectiveness of Korean music education, as well as the need to enhance early childhood teachers’ competencies. However, the analysis also revealed limitations in terms of weakened continuity in recent research, insufficient diversity of topics, and a lack of development in play-centered approaches. This study is meaningful in that it systematically identified achievements and limitations in early childhood Korean music education research and offers foundational insights to inform future academic and practical development.
