최근 FTA가 자유무역의 중요한 수단으로 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소비자입장에서 자유무역의 경제적 효과를 FTA가 국내시장에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 있다. 본 연구의 분석결과, FTA는 수입상품과 대체관계에 있는 국내 상품의 가격을 인하시키며, 소비자로 하여금 종전보다 더 많은 종류의 제품 선택을 가능하게 함으로써, 소비자후생을 중대시킨다는 사실을 이론과 품목별 사례를 중심으로 제시하고 있다.
Abstract
Recently, FTA has been used as the means of free trade. This study analyzes the impacts of FTA as the economic effects of free trade in the domestic market in position of consumers. The results of this study show that FTA downs the prices of domestic goods which have the substitutional relation with the imported goods. FTA also increases welfare by making consumers to choose more the various kinds of goods than before the conclusion of FTA. This study presents the case studies and theories to prove the above results.
