사고양식을 통한 대학생의 비판적 사고 성향의 구인 특성 이해

본 연구에서는 비판적 사고 성향의 구인 특성을 이해하기 위하여 Sternberg의 정신자치제 이론에 기초한 사고양식을 관련변인으로 상정하여 사고양식과 비판적 사고 성향과의 관련성에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 2개의 대학에서 568명의 대학생들이 본 연구에 참여하였으며, 이들은 모두 비판적 사고 성향 검사와 사고양식 검사를 완성하였다. 수집된 자료는 정준상관분석과 중다회귀분석의 방법으로 처리되었으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정준상관분석의 결과, 사고양식 중에서 비판적 사고 성향에 유의한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타난 양식은 입법적, 사법적, 자유적, 군주적, 과두적, 사고양식이었다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석의 결과에서는 비판적 사고 성향의 하위요인에 따라 각 사고양식의 설명량이 각기 다르게 나타나, 비판적 사고 성향의 하위 요인들은 각기 다른 특성을 지니고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 연구결과를 논의하여 결론을 제시하였다.

Abstract

Understanding the Nature of Critical Thinking Dispositions Based on the Thinking Styles The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of critical thinking dispositions and thinking styles and whether thinking styles significantly predict to critical thinking dispositions among college students. For this research, 568 college students were selected. The subjects completed the California Critical Thinking Dispositions Inventory(CCTDI) and the Thinking Styles Inventory(TSI). Data was analyzed by canonical correlation analysis and multiple regression. The results of this study were as follows: First, there were significant relationships of critical thinking dispositions and thinking styles, some styles are positive relationships between them, and the others are negative relationships between them. Second, results from multiple-regression procedures indicated that all critical thinking disposition scales were significantly predicted by particular thinking styles. However, the statistically significant predicators of each of the critical thinking dispositions were not always exactly the same thinking styles. These findings have implications for instruction and program development of the critical thinking dispositions.
