연구 목적: 이 연구는 소예언서의 서론과 결론 역할을 하는 호세아서와 말라기서의 공통 키워드를 분석함으로써 소예언서의 통일성을 논증하는 것을 목표로 한다. 연구 방법: 이를 위해, 필자는 ‘언약’과 ‘공의’ 개념을 토대로 한 공시적 고찰을 시도하였다. 연구 내용: ‘언약’ 개념에 해당하는 히브리어 낱말인 ‘베리트’는 호세아서와 말라기서의 주제적 틀을 형성한다. 그 주제적 틀은 ‘언약의 파기’와 ‘언약의 회복’이다. ‘공의’ 개념에 해당하는 히브리어 낱말들인 ‘미슈파트’와 ‘쩨다카/쩨데크’는 ‘언약’ 개념과 관련되어 나타나면서 호세아서와 말라기서의 메시지를 부각시킨다. ‘미슈파트’는 언약이 파기된 이유를 설명하고, ‘쩨다카/쩨데크’는 언약이 회복될 이유를 설명한다. 결론 및 제언: ‘언약’과 ‘공의’ 개념으로 인하여 호세아서와 말라기서는 양괄 대칭 구조를 형성한다. ‘언약’과 ‘공의’ 개념은 호세아서와 말라기서에서 주제적으로 평행하며, 동시에 소예언서를 관통하는 여타 신학적 키워드를 아우른다. 따라서 이 연구는 소예언서의 통일성에 관한 연구의 지평을 넓히고, 소예언서에 관한 한국 교회의 좁은 안목을 쇄신할 것으로 사료된다. 뿐만이 아니라 세속화된 한국 교회에게 있어서 소예언서의 메시지는 좋은 교훈이 되리라고 본다.
Abstract
This study aims to demonstrate the unity of the minor prophets by analyzing the common keywords of the book of hosea and the book of malachi, which serve as the introduction and conclusion of the minor prophets. For this, I attempted a synchronic consideration based on the concepts of ‘covenant’ and ‘righteousness.’ The hebrew word ‘berīth’ which corresponds to the concept of ‘covenant’ forms the thematic framework of the book of hosea and the book of malachi. The thematic frame is ‘breaking of the covenant’ and ‘restoration of the covenant.’ The hebrew words ‘mišhpāṭ’ and ‘tsedāqāh/tsedeq’ which correspond to the concept of ‘righteousness’ appear concerning the concept of ‘covenant’ and highlight the messages of the book of hosea and the book of malachi. ‘mišhpāṭ’ explains why the covenant was broken, and ‘tsedāqāh/tsedeq’ explains why the covenant will be restored. Due to the concepts of ‘covenant’ and ‘righteousness’, the book of hosea and the book of malachi form an inclusio. The concepts of ‘covenant’ and ‘righteousness’ are thematically parallel in the book of hosea and the book of malachi, while encompassing other keywords that penetrate the minor prophets. Therefore, this study is considered to broaden the horizon of research on the unity of the minor prophets and to renew the narrow view of the korean church on the minor prophets. In addition, the message of the minor prophets will be a good lesson for the secularized korean church.
