바울의 고난과 교회의 하나됨: 고린도전서 4장 6-13절을 중심으로

초록

바울은 그의 편지 곳곳에서 고난의 경험들을 말하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 바울의 고난의 경험들이 담겨진 텍스트들을 찾아서, 그것들이 가지는 의미를살펴보는 것을 목적으로 삼는다. 복음의 계시자로서, 선포자로서, 사도로서바울은 특히 고린도교회를 향하여 집중적으로 고난목록을 사용하고 있다. 바울의 이러한 고난목록들은 그의 신학적 테마와 밀접하게 관련되어 있으며, 이 논문에서 다루게 되는 고린도전서 4장 6-13절은 특히 성만찬과 세례,교회의 하나됨과 밀접하게 연결되어 있다. 이런 관점에서 중요하게 등장하는 주인공은 ‘십자가에 달리신 분’(1:23;2:2)이며, 십자가에 달리신 예수는 세례와 성만찬, 그리고 바울의 고난의 출발점이다. 따라서 세례, 성만찬, 고난목록은 예수의 십자가죽음의 현재화로이해할 수 있다(롬 6:3이하; 고전 11:26; 고후 4:10이하). 세 가지 모두 바울의복음 선포의 핵심인 십자가에 달리신 그리스도를 공통분모로 하여 분열된 고린도교회가 하나 되게 하는 역할을 수행한다. 고린도교인 모두는 십자가에 달리신 그리스도에 속한 사람들이다(3:21b-23). 굶주리고, 목마르고, 헐벗고, 얻어맞고, 집도 없이 떠돌아다니고, 고된 노동을 하고 있는 사도의 고난의 현존은 예수를 위한(dia. Cristo,n, 고전 4:10a; 참조 고후 4:11) 고난이다. 반면 교만함, 부유함, 배부름 속에 살고 있는 고린도교인들은 타자를 위해 십자가에 생명의 길을 내어주신 예수를 본받아 고난의 길을 걷고 있는 사도 앞에서 부끄러울 뿐이다. 따라서 십자가 달리신 그리스도와 사도의 고난은 고린도교회의 하나됨의 원동력으로 작용한다.

Abstract

Paul testifies to the experience of sufferings in many places of his epistles. This article intends to investigate the texts which show Paul’s suffering experiences and to interpret each meaning. Paul himself as a prophet and proclaimer of the gospel uses this suffering list intensively toward the Corinthian church. This suffering list is closely connected to Paul’s theological theme; and particularly 1 Corinthian 4:6-13 with which this article deals have been exclusively related to the Lord’s supper,baptism and the unity of the church. From this perspective, Christ on the cross (1:23; 2:2) appeared as a central figure on the scene, and Christ who was crucified is the starting point of baptism, the Lord’s supper and Paul’s sufferings. Accordingly,baptism, the Lord’s supper and the suffering list can be understood to be an Actualization of the Death on the Cross (Rom. 6:3ff; 1Cor. 11:26; 2Cor,4:10 ff) These three play an essential role in unifying the divided Corinthian church on the basis of the focal point of Paul’s gospel proclamation, that is Christ who was crucified on the cross. Christians in the Corinthian church were people belonging to the crucified Christ. (1Cor. 3:21b-23). The present sufferings such as hunger,thirsty, naked, buffeted, homeless, hardworking are sufferings for Christ (dia. Cristo,n, 1 Cor. 4:10a; Cf. 2 Cor. 4:11). On the other hand, some Corinthian Christians who lived in pride, wealth, and complacent were nothing but ashamed before the apostles treading in Christ’s steps who sacrificed his life on the cross to others. The crucified Christ and the sufferings of the apostle are working as a prime factor for the unifying the Corinthian church.
