Pansori, which was popular in late Joseon well described the aspect of folk religion melted in people's life of that time. This research considered various aspects of folk religion in pansori words adapted by Shin, Jae-Hyo, based on four categories, i.e. belief in house god, belief in village god, shamanism, and folk belief from the wide folk belief viewpoint. Among the six stages which Shin, Jae-Hyo adapted, contents related to folk religion appeared more variously and frequently in ＜Shimcheongga＞․＜Baktaryeong＞ than in ＜Chunhyangga＞․＜Tobyeolga＞․＜Jeokbyukga＞․＜Byungangswega＞. The reason is, ＜Shimcheongga＞․＜Baktaryeong＞ embodied the process of fantastically overcoming ordinary people's tiring life of late Joseon while reflecting it, accordingly, naturally the content related to folk religion was included more. The points that emphasize divination belief, which has strong personal character, and the content of the artifices of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements intensively appears in Chinese pattern with the consciousness of the noble culture are the characteristics of folk rejigion in Shin, Jae-Hyo's words, which are quite different from the general characteristics of folk rejigions. These are the characteristics complexly based on the original characteristics of divination belief as a folk belief, basic culture that becomes the basis of folk rejigion and pansori, social․cultural tendency of the period where Shin, Jae-Hyo lived, and his own personal factors, etc.
