粤语“点心”被英语“安放”的启示

粤语“点心”,英语词语为“dim sum”。点心是独具特色的粤菜之一，是粤语 地区人们生活方式的体现和代表。粤语“点心”是地区方言进入英语词汇的典 型范例。地区方言从其影响力和传播范围上看，都远不及作为中国国家语言 的代表--汉语，但是它却能在强势的英语词汇中占有小小的一席之地，不能不引起我们的注意。针对粤语“点心”进入英语词汇的过程进行分析，能够给 我们正在进行的汉语的文化推广提供一个范例，也会给我们带来文化推广与 传播速度的启示。
Abstract
Cantonese word ‘dian xin’is ‘dim sum’ in English. ‘Dim sum’ is one of unique Cantonese cuisiness and can reflect people’s life style in that area. Cantonese ‘dim sum’ is typical example of district dialect coming into English vocabulary. As for the influence force and spread scope, district dialect cannot compare with Chinese. However, it can occupy a space in mighty English which is worthy of attention. We will analyze the process of ‘dim sum’ coming into English vocabulary. It can provide a model of Chinese culture's spread and it can give us an enlightenment of the spread speed.
