최송설당(崔松雪堂) 영물시(詠物詩) 연구

이 논문에서는 최송설당의 영물시에 초점을 맞추어, 영물시의 형상화 방식과 특징을 밝히고자 했다. 송설당의 ‘물(物)’에 대한 관심과 ‘물(物)’에 드러난 특징을 규명함으로써 그녀의 문학 세계를 구체적으로 조망하고자 하였다. 먼저 송설당의 시 167제 252수 중에서 영물시를 선별하는 작업을 하였는데, ‘경(景)’과‘물(物)’의 중복적인 속성을 지니고 있거나, 애매한 지점에 놓인 시들을 제외하고, 61편의 시를 선정하였다. 능금, 석류, 복숭아, 호박, 봉산화, 파초, 선인장, 해바라기, 제비, 닭, 앵무새, 개구리, 부채, 거문고, 거울, 담배, 안경, 모자, 벼루 등 50여가지의 다양한 ‘물(物)’을 소재로 삼고 있었다. 다음으로, 형상화 방식을 ‘사물에 투영된 자아, 사물의 기능 및 효용, 사물에 대한 묘사’의 3가지로 나누어 살펴보았다. 사물에서 촉발된 감정을 시로 창작하는 방식은 기존의 영물시의 특징과 궤를 같이 하고 있으면서도, 그녀의 영물시는 사실적이면서도 직설적인 표현의 특징을 보였다. 50여가지의 다양한 물(物)을 소재로 창작한 것을 통해 송설당의 관심과 취향을 읽어낼 수 있었으며, 주변에 존재하는 모든 것들에 대한 감각이 섬세하고 풍부했다는 것도 알 수 있다. 즉, 송설당 영물시의 특징은 사실적이면서 생생한 묘사에 있다. 이 논문에서는 송설당의 작품에 집중하느라 조선후기 여성 한시 또는 같은 시기의 모든 한시로 확장하지 못한 아쉬움이 존재한다. 이것을 시작으로 이후의 연구에서는 조선후기 한시에 나타난 물질에 대한 연구를 진행하는 것을 기약하고자 한다.
Abstract
In this paper, I focused on Choi Song-seoldang's Yeongmulsi[詠物詩] and tried to reveal the shape and characteristics of it. By clarifying Songseoldang's interest in "tMul[物]" and the characteristics revealed in "Mul[物]," I tried to view her literary world in detail. First, among the 252 poems of Songseoldang, 61 poems were selected, except for those with overlapping properties of "Gyeong[景]" and "Mul[物]," or those placed at ambiguous points. It was based on about 50 different "Mul[物]" materials such as Neunggeum, Pomegranate, Peach, Pumpkin, Bongseonhwa, Pacho, Cactus, Sunflower, Swallow, Chicken, Parrot, Frog, Fan, Geomungo, Mirror, Tobacco, Glasses, Hat, and Flea. Next, the shaping method was divided into three categories: 'self projected on objects, function and utility for objects, and description of objects'. The method of creating emotions triggered by objects into poems is in line with the characteristics of existing spiritual poems, but her spiritual poems showed realistic and straightforward expressions. Through the creation of various "Mul[物]" materials, I was able to read Songseoldang's interest and taste, and it can be seen that he had a delicate and rich sense of everything around her. In other words, the characteristic of Songseoldang Yeongmulsi[詠物詩] is its realistic and vivid description. In this paper, there is a regret that it was not possible to expand to all Chinese poems by women in the late Joseon Dynasty or in the same period because of focusing on Song Seol-dang's work. Starting with this, subsequent studies will pledge to conduct research on substances that appeared in the late Joseon Dynasty.
