물질주의 및 탈물질주의의 영향요인과 정치적 효과에 관한 경험적 연구
An Empirical Study on the Influential Factors and Political Effects of Materialism and Postmaterialism

본 연구의 조사에 의하면, 물질주의 및 탈물질주의를 공유하는 혼합형이 79.4%로 대부분을 차지하고, 물질주의자가 12.4%로서 그 다음을 차지하며, 탈물질주의자는 8.2%로서 가장 낮은 분포를 보였다. 그리고 1990년부터 물질주의자의 비율이 점차 감소해 왔다. 아울러 기존의 이론에 적합하게 20대에서의 물질주의 비율이 다른 연령집단에서의 물질주의 비율 보다 훨씬 적은 반면 탈물질주의 비율이 약간 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 한편 물질주의 및 탈물질주의의 효과에 관한 조사 결과, 관례적 참여유형에서는 탈물질주의자가 물질주의자보다 높은 점수를 보인 반면 비관례적 참여유형에서는 낮은 점수를 보임으로써 가설과는 정반대의 결과를 보였다. 그리고 개인의 행복감에서는 탈물질주의자가 물질주의자 보다 높은 점수를 보여 가설이 채택되었다.
