서비스산업의 혁신유형 결정요인에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 우리나라 서비스산업을 대상으로 그 혁신성향에 따라 기업의 혁신유형을 4가지 유형-내부R&D를 통한 혁신기업, 외부R&D계약을 통한 혁신기업, 비R&D수행 혁신기업, 기술수용기업-으로 분류하고 이러한 혁신유형에 영향을 미치는 요인을 회귀분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 또한 Hung, Arundel & Hollanders(2010)의 EU 15개 국가를 대상으로 한 분석 결과와 비교를 통해 한국과 EU국가들과의 유사점과 차이점에 대해 살펴보았다. 한국의 분석에는 과학기술정책연구원의 서비스업혁신조사결과를 이용하였는데, 우리나라 조사대상 서비스업 기업 2,498개 중 혁신활동을 수행하는 기업은 총 883개로 약 35%만이 혁신활동을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 이들 혁신활동을 수행하는 기업 중 64%에 해당하는 기업이 내부R&D수행을 하고 있으며, 23.6%는 비R&D수행 혁신기업으로 조사되었다. 그리고 외부R&D수행계약기업은 6.8%, 기술수용기업은 5.7%로 비교적 낮은 수준으로 나타났다. 혁신의 유형에 영향을 미치는 요인은 크게 다섯가지로 기업의 혁신역량, 혁신의 형태, 혁신을 위한 정보의 원천, 혁신의 전유성, 혁신의 방해요인(위험성)으로 구성된다. 분석결과 우리나라 기업의 경우 혁신역량과 혁신에 대한 위험성보다는 혁신의 형태와 정보의 원천, 전유성이 혁신의 유형에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study analysis the characteristics of technology innovation of service industry and knowledge based service industry of Korean. And also we identified the determinants of innovation patterns. We compared the analysis results with the those of EU CIS(Community Innovation Survey)in Hung, Arundel and Hollanders(2010). We classified the service industry into 4 type of innovation pattern-in house R&D performers, contract R&D performers, non-R&D innovator, technology adopters by their innovation methods. Regression results shows that the effects of firms' innovation capabilities and risk of innovation are not significant. But in the form of innovation-product or process-, firms that engage in product innovation are more likely to innovate by performing R&D. As per the source of innovation, firms which find universities and research institute an important information source for innovation are more likely to perform R&D. And the firms which apply for patents or use other appropriation methods prefer R&D to non-R&D for innovation.
