군사적 긴장이 고조된 상황에서 효과적인 정신교육 내용 및 방법

본 연구의 목적은 남북한 군사적 긴장이 고조된 상황에서 전방 부대 병사들의 정신전력을 강화하는데 가장 효과적인 정신교육의 내용 및 방법을 도출하는데 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해서 군사적 긴장이 가장 고조된 ‘13년 4월 초에 전방부대에 근무하는 병사 95명을 대상으로 현 상황에서 병사들이 느끼는 감정과 병사들의 정신전력을 강화할 수 있는 정신교육의 내용 및 방법에 관한 개방형 설문을 실시했다. 그 결과 총 473개의 의견을 회수했고, 공개코딩을 실시한 결과 총 23개 항목이 도출되었다. 이어서 전방부대 5개 사․여단 병사 375명을 대상으로 실시한 본 조사 결과 병사들은 정신교육의 내용으로서는 ① 남북한군의 객관적 전력비교, ② 북한 도발 시 우리군의 대응전략, ③ 가족의 생명을 수호한다는 사명감, ④ 북한의 도발에 대한 철저한 보복과 응징 등이 가장 필요하다고 응답했고, 정신교육의 방법으로서는 ① 시청각 교육, ② 강의식 설명, ③ 신념화 발표/토의 순으로 효과적이라고 응답했다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the effective teaching contents and methods of morale eduction for army soldiers deployed in the front area in the situation of raised military conflict. To best satisfy the purpose, an open-ended questionnaire was administered to 97 army soldiers. Total 473 responses were collected to be abbreviated into 23 items. At the second stage, a questionnaire based on the 23 items were administered to 375 soldiers sampled from 5 divisions and brigades. The results of the survey showed that the effective contents were ① objective comparisons of military power, ② army’s strategies for North Korea’s military threats, ③ devotion to the mission of defense, and ④ exhaustive retaliation against North Korea. In addition, ① Audio-visual contents, ② Lecture, and ③ Oral presentation and debate were identified to be the effective teaching methods. The teaching methods and contents, however, that were being used by officers showed significant differences with the identified effective teaching methods and contents.
