예배와 설교는 하나로 일치되며 연합되는 통합적인 속성을 가지고 있다. 양자는 모두 성서적인 메시지를 가진 형태로서 일치와 통합을 이룬다. 그리고 예배와 설교는 소통하는 교류적 속성을 가지고 있다. 칼빈은, 성찬은 설교와 동일한 하나님 말씀으로 설명했다. 이것은 예배와 설교에 대한 동일성의 개념을 설명한 것이다. 예배에 있는 의례적 행위들은 하나님께서 인간에게 베푸시는 계시에 대한 인간의 응답적 표현으로서 하나님과의 영적소통의 실재에 메시지를 담아 행하는 것이다. 그리고 설교는 하나님 계시가 인간에게 전달되는 통로로서 청각뿐만 아니라, 다양한 매체를 통한 하나님과 인간 사이의 영적 통로, 즉 커뮤니케이션 형태의 실체를 포함한다. 이 같은 면에서, 예배와 설교는 하나님의 메시지를 중심으로 이루어지는 소통 양식으로 볼 수 있으며, 이에 따른 예배와 설교의 성립은 다양한 기재의 방법적 접근이 가능할 수 있다. 즉 예배와 설교는 영적인 메시지를 담고, 영적 소통을 이룬다는 양자의 동일한 속성 가운데 일치와 통합의 의미를 드러낸다. 따라서 예배와 설교는 양자가 통합적으로 수용될 수 있으며, 예배와 설교의 폭넓은 이 같은 수용성은 예배 안에서 설교를 이해할 수 있고, 설교 안에서 예배를 이해할 수 있는 통섭으로 접근하게 된다. 이에 따라서, 둘은 ‘예배의 법’이 ‘설교의 법’으로, ‘설교의 법’이 ‘예배의 법’이 되는 통합적 이해로 전진할 수 있는 것이다. 복음은 예수 그리스도의 이미지를 포괄적으로 지시한다. 이것은 곧 기독교 신앙의 내용을 통합적으로 설명하고 이해할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 때문에 예배와 설교는 신앙의 이미지를 가지고 그것을 내포하고 있다. 이는 곧 신앙의 메시지가 될 수 있다. 다시 말해서, 이미지는 곧 메시지가 될 수 있는 것이다. 기독교 신앙의 이미지는 다양하게 표현할 수 있으며, 그 표현 안에서 기독교 메시지를 전할 수 있다. 예배는 이미지를 가지고 하나님과 교류하는 인간의 제의이다. 예배는 보이는 물리적 사물을 통해서 가능하고 또한 들리는 청각적 요소만으로도 가능하다. 그리고 설교는 들리는 하나님의 메시지이며, 청각과 시각 및 인간의 오감을 활용한 메시지의 발견과 전달이 이루어지는 하나님과 인간의 영적 커뮤니케이션이다. 따라서 예배 안에 설교가 있다고 보는 입장에서는 설교 그 자체로서 예배가 될 수 있으며, 반면에 설교를 예배로 보는 입장에서는 설교만으로 예배할 수 있는 양자의 통섭적인 접근이 가능한 것이다. 또한 예배를 하나님 계시의 말씀을 받는 시간으로 볼 때는, 예배의 양식적인 의례가 곧 하나님 메시지를 포괄하는 영적소통이라는 측면에서 설교 속성을 내포하게 된다. 이처럼 예배와 설교는 각각 분리되어 독립된 개체로 존재하는 신학적 방법을 추구한다기보다는 하나로 통합된 신앙과 신학의 영적 의례로 통섭되는 접근성을 형성한다.
Abstract
Worship and preaching have a united nature of unity. Both are united in the form of biblical messages. Worship and preaching have a communicative nature. Calvin explained that the Sacrament is the same Word of God as preaching. This explains the concept of identity for worship and preaching. The ceremonial acts in Worship are the message of the reality of spiritual communication with God as the human response to God's revelation to man. And Preaching is the channel through which God's revelation is communicated to human beings, as well as the hearing, the spiritual channel between God and human beings in various media, the reality in the form of communication. In view of this, Worship and Preaching can be seen as a communication mode centered on the message of God, and the establishment of Worship and Preaching in this way can be approached in various ways. In other words, Worship and Preaching contain spiritual messages and reveal the significance of unity and integration among the two attributes of spiritual communication. Thus Worship and Preaching can be integrated and the widespread acceptance of Worship and Preaching can lead to understanding of Preaching in Worship and to understanding of Worship in Preaching. As a result, they can be approached with an integrated understanding that the law of Worship becomes the law of Preaching and the law of Preaching becomes the law of Worship. The Gospel gives a comprehensive indication of the image of Jesus Christ. This encompasses the contents of the Christian faith. Worship and Preaching reveal an image of faith. This can be a message of faith. In other words, an image can be a message. The image of the Christian faith is expressive, and the message is contained within it. Worship is a human ritual that communicates with God by an image. Worship is possible through the visible physical things, and also through the audible elements heard. Preaching is the message of God heard, the spiritual communication between God and man, through the discovery and delivery of the message using hearing, sight, and the human senses. In other words, if there is a Preaching in Worship, Preaching can be Worship itself. On the other hand, when Preaching is Worship, there is a coherent approach to Worship by Preaching alone. Also, when Worship is regarded as the time of receiving the Word of God's revelation, the formal ritual of Worship has the attribute of Preaching in terms of spiritual communication that encompasses the message of God. In this way, Worship and Preaching form a world of faith and theology that is approached as a spiritual ritual of the unified faith, rather than pursuing the theological methods that exist as separate entities.
