사고와 연행의 시각에서 바라본 구술성의 교육적 구도

본 연구는 구술성을 사고와 연행의 관점에서 해명하는 것을 목표로 한다. 구술성은 인간이 세계와 맺는 관계의 차원과, 음성이라는 수단을 통해 전달․실현되는 구체적인 표현의 차원 모두와 관련된다. 따라서 구술성을 사고와 연행의 영역으로 범주화하여 각각의 지표를 살펴보고 그 자질을 해명하는 새로운 연구 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 언어를 매개의 관점에서 바라보면, 언어는 인간과 세계 사이의 의미 작용이면서 동시에 표현의 수단과 도구라는 이중적 측면을 갖는다. 이를 바탕으로 의미의 생성과 내용 구성에 관여하는 층위로 ‘사고’를 설정하고, 특정 내용을 표현․전달하는 물리적 상황의 층위로 ‘연행’을 설정한다. 이런 범주화를 통해 구술성은 ‘구술적 사고와 구술적 연행’, ‘구술적 사고와 기술적 연행’, ‘기술적 사고와 구술적 연행’, ‘기술적 사고와 기술적 연행’의 양태로 구분된다. 구술적 사고의 표지와 내용으로는, ‘기억 위주의 정형화된 사고’, ‘집단성과 공유성 추구의 집합적 사고’, ‘주체의 현존에 따른 부착적 사고’ 등을 들 수 있다. 구술적 연행의 표지와 내용에는 ‘화자: 표현주체에 따른 자기화된 연행’, ‘청자: 청자의 관여에 따른 상호교섭적 연행’, ‘전언: 구술의 일회성에 따른 반복적․환원적 연행’ 등이 있다. 이처럼 인간 활동의 시각에서 구술성에 대해 접근할 때, 구술성은 담화를 분석하는 이론의 차원이 아닌, 인간과 언어, 의미의 생산과 소통의 문제를 해명하는 하나의 키워드가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study aims at explaining orality from the point of view of thinking and performance. Orality has much to do with dimensions which include both relation that human beings contact with the world and concrete expression delivered and realized by means of voice. Thus, I would like to suggest a new methodology which classifies orality as domains of thinking and performance, looks into each index and elucidates those characteristics. From the view of medium, languages have double aspects which can be signification between humans and the world and means of expression at the same time. On the base of that, I establish 'thinking' as a layer which involves in creating meaning and constituting contents and performance as a layer which has relations with physical situations which express and deliver specific contents. Through this categorization, orality shows various modes: oral thinking & oral performance, oral thinking & literate performance, literate thinking & oral performance and literate thinking & literate performance. As features and contents of oral thinking, there are memory centered patterned thinking, collective thinking which pursues grouping and sharing, adhesive thinking. On the other hand, as features and contents of oral performance, there are internalized performance, transactional performance, repetitive and restoring performance and so on. In the same way, if you approach orality from the viewpoint of human activity, orality can be a key word which makes clear problems between humans and languages or production of meaning and communication, not in a theoretic dimension which analyzes discourse.
