최근 블록체인 기술의 발전으로 대다수의 산업 영역에서 혁신적인 변화가 나타나고 있다. 이에 다수의 연구자들은 블록체인 서비스의 사용자 유입과 활성화를 높일 수 있는 연구의 필요성을 주장하였지만, 아직까지 사용자 관점에서의 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 블록체인 지갑 서비스에 대한 사용자들의 저항 요인을 분석하여 블록체인 지갑의 불편함(Pain points)들을 혁신 저항 요인에 근거하여 규명하고자 하였다. 연구를 수행하기 위해 혁신 저항 모형에 대한 선행 연구들을 고찰하고 이에 입각하여 사용자 혁신 저항의 주요 요인을 분석하였으며, 블록체인 지갑의 경험 과정을 관찰하고 사용자 여정 지도를 제작하였다. 연구결과, 혁신 저항에 영향을 주는 요인으로는 자기 효능감과 시스템 특성, 인식된 위험과 전환 비용이 높은 비중으로 도출되었다. 블록체인 서비스의 이해가 낮은 사용자의 경우 서비스 이용 시 사용자에게 요구된 행동을 스스로 수행할 수 있다는 믿음이 결여되고, 새롭게 시스템에 대해 익혀야 한다는 정도가 높아짐에 따라 사용자의 저항 역시 높아지는 것을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 기술 중심적 관점에서 나아가, 실사용자들의 관점에서 블록체인 서비스의 저항 요인을 낮추고 수용을 높이는 방향성을 제시하였다는 것에 의의를 둔다.
Abstract
Recent developments in blockchain have led to innovative changes in the industrial areas. Although many researchers have argued for the need for research to increase user inflow and activation of blockchain services, research from a user's point of view is still insufficient. Therefore, the study sought to analyze the resistance factors of users to the blockchain wallet and identify the inconvenience of blockchain wallet facing users on the basis of innovation resistance factors. Studies have shown that factors affecting innovation resistance have been derived from a high proportion of self-efficiency, system characteristics, perceived threats and switching costs. For users with low experience of blockchain services, they found that they lacked the belief that they could perform the actions required when using the services, and that the more strongly they were required to learn about the new system, the greater the resistance of users. It is meaningful that this study, from a technology-centric perspective, has given direction to lower resistance factors and increase acceptance of blockchain services from the perspective of users.
