생태학적 담론으로 재해석된 일본근대문학 속의 사회상‒시가 나오야 문학을 중심으로‒

시가 나오야는 작품 속에서 등장하는 작은 동물을 통해 약자의 이미지를 부여하여 약육강식의 생물학적 상호 작용을 적용시킨다. 생물 간의 포식-피식의 관계를 분석하고 생물의 모습에 비유적으로 인간의 모습을 담고 있는 사회의 모습도 고찰해본다. 생물 간의 먹이사슬관계를 통해 작가가 사회를 바라보는 인식을 표출하고 있었다. 『산새』에서는 산새, 『동물소품』은 두꺼비와 뱀, 『소품 5개』은 도마뱀붙이, 참새, 매미, 『11월 3일 오후의 일』은 벌과 오리의 소동물들이 등장했다. 이들은 포식과 피식 관계의 생물들로 서로 잡아먹히고 잡아먹는 생물학적 행위를 하는 동물이다. 이들의 약육강식은 자연계에서는 자연스러운 생태학적 작용들이다. 그러나 이러한 포식과 피식 관계와 같은 약육강식이 인간사회에서 일어나면 그건 강자의 횡포이며 폭력이 되는 것이다. 시가는 이러한 강자가 존재하는 사회에 대해 거부감을 갖고 있었다. 그러나 약자에 대해 적극적인 모습으로 다가가지는 않는다. 이처럼 시가는 사회현상에 대해 부정적인 사고를 갖고 있지만 적극적으로 언급하지 않고 비유적으로 뒤트는 사회상을 보여 주고 있다고 평가한다.
Abstract
Shiga Naoya gives the image of the weak through small animal that appear in his work, and applies the biological interaction of the jungle. He analyzes the relationship between predation and prey among living things, and also considers the appearance of a society that metaphorically contains the appearance of humans in the appearance of living things. In Mountain Birds, mountain birds, Animal Props are toads and snakes, 5 Props are geckos, sparrows, and cicadas, and On the Afternoon of November 3rd are bees and ducks. These are creatures in a relationship of predation and prey, and they are animals that perform biological acts by preying on and eating each other. Their strong-armed diet is a natural function in the natural world. However, when the law of the weak, such as predation and prey, occurs in human society, it becomes the tyranny of the strong. Shiga had a repulsion towards a society where such strong people existed. However, he does not actively approach the weak. As such, Shiga has negative thoughts about social phenomena, but does not actively mention them and evaluates them as metaphorically showing a distorted society.
