초록
The aim of this paper is to investigate the ecological environment of Korean modern fictions. To achieve this aim, I connect ecology with theory of fictions, examine the aspects of relation of ecological – fictional environments, and interpret the fictional environment of main works among the Korean modern fictions 1) In Works of Lee Hyoseuk, Jeung beeseuk, and Oh Yungsoo, 'the assimilation to nature' and ‘the equality of life’ that deep ecological theory emphasizes are implemented. The characters of these works are faithful on symbiotic principle with nature. 2) In Works of Kim Youjeung, Oh Yungsoo, and Han Seungwon, the conflict aspects of the characters and their environments appears. But they make an effort to redintegrate the world which nature and human are not separated. 3) In Works of Hwang seukyoung, Lee Moonkoo, and Jo Saehee, The characters who seriously alienated from their environments are embossed. These writers point out the contradiction in their characters’ environments, and stand out willingness to improve the contradiction. Therefore, In these Works, ‘class opposition’, ‘community formation/realization’, and ‘practice of moral economy’ that social ecological theory emphasizes are implied as fictional prospective.
