Based on an all-round exploration of the construction of “V+P+NP” from the corpus it is found that Ps in this construction are all bi-directional propositions. The first part reviews the studies done in this field concerned and points out briefly the problems existing. The second part is a brief introduction to the dissertation’s background, significance and guidelines.
