대학교 전임교원의 역량 모델 개발 및 생애주기별 교육요구도 분석

본 연구는 대학교 전임교원의 총체적 역량을 행동지표로 개발하고, 생애주기에 따른 교육요구도를 분석하기 위한 목적을 가지고 있다. 이를 위해 선행연구 분석과 개방형 설문 면담, 전문가 검토를 바탕으로 교원 역량모델링을 실시한 후, 2차에 걸친 델파이 조사를 통해 교수역량, 연구역량, 기본역량을 측정하는 13개 영역 50문항을 개발하였다. 대학교 교원의 교육요구도를 분석하기 위해 인천광역시 소재 A대학교 전임교원 208명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 t-검증, Borich 요구도 공식을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학교 전임교원의 역량은 ① 수업 설계, ② 강의계획서 작성, ③ 테크놀로지 활용, ④ 수업 운영, ⑤ 커뮤니케이션, ⑥ 평가 및 피드백, ⑦ 성찰과 개선, ⑧ 연구 수행, ⑨ 연구 윤리, ⑩ 직업 윤리, ⑪ 조직 헌신, ⑫ 학생 상담, ⑬ 협업으로 제시되었다. 둘째, 전임교원의 연령과 경력에 따라 각 역량에 대한 중요도와 실행도의 차이가 다른 것으로 확인되었으며, 수업 설계, 테크놀로지 활용, 수업 운영, 연구 및 학생 상담에 대한 역량의 교육요구도가 높게 나타났다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 교수 역량을 강화하기 위한 교육 프로그램을 설계하는데 실질적인 시사점을 제공하였으며, 대학교 전임교원의 역량을 총체적 관점에서 살펴보고, 교육을 통해 증진가능한 영역을 다루고자 하였다는 데 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the educational needs of competencies for developing faculty’s competency. In order to achieve the research goal, a survey study was conducted to measure competencies at university. The measurement tool was adapted from existing studies relevant to the faculty competencies for developing faculty’s competency. The tool includes 50 items on a 5-point Likert scale, measuring current performance and perceived importance as well. The Borich formula was employed for data analysis. The results are as follows: First, 13 competencies were identified from all faculty members. They included ① instructional design, ② write syllabus, ③ use technology, ④ operate class, ⑤ communication ⑥ evaluation and feedback, ⑦ reflection and improvement, ⑧ research, ⑨ research ethics, ⑩ work ethics, ⑪ organizational commitment, ⑫ student counseling, and ⑬ cooperation. Second, The differences in importance-performance of competence were confirmed by the age and experience of the faculty. Third, The results indicate that the educational needs of competencies on instructional design, use technology, operate class, research and student counseling were ranked within top five. The results of this study provide practical implications for designing educational programs for enhancing faculty competencies in successful implementation of the university.
