The Level of Dangerous Addition of Korean Adults and Christian Counseling

The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of dangerous addiction scope, and influence between Korean christian adult group(group 1) and atheistic adult group(group 2). The specific objective for this study was focused on the prevention of addiction. Data was collected from 394 randomly sampled Korean adults in selected several centers and universities, and the SPSSWIN 12.0 program was used in analyzing the data. The major findings of this article were as follows:There was more dysfunctional problems in group 2 than group 1, the influence of atheism on the Korean adults proved that variables associated with the level of dangerous addiction problem, the level of behavior addiction(BAL,p<.001), the level of substance addiction(SAL, p<.01), and level of anxiety (AEL, p<.05) in the group 2 was very significant. In the analysis of multiple stepwise regression, the influence of atheism on the Korean adults proved that the variables associated with the SAL explained 11%(coefficient of determination=11) and with the BAL explained 19%(coefficient of determination=19) of the total variation; and the standardization coefficient showed, such as BAL problem(β=.29) and SAL problem(β=.21), more significant in group 2, than group 1. Preventive therapeutic strategies were included christian counseling,process oriented theology with counseling, recovery counseling for shame,motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, family counseling were selected as the preventive therapeutic strategies for the level of dangerous addition of Korean adults.
