Abstract
Science, which is essentially a human enterprise, strives for the creative and logical reification of humanity. Scientific knowledge, accordingly, produces the image of reality constituted by unique ‘interpretation and edition’ of the physical as well as social world. In order to secure scientific freedom, i. e., freedom of interpretation and edition, authoritarian network of scientific hegemony and ensuing dogmatic scientific doctrines, which exercise exclusive control over the process and methods of approaching the essence of the object of inquiry, should be destroyed. Political intervention is required here for dissolving the ‘monopoly guild’ of knowledge-production organized around single dominant research tradition. Decomposition of monolithic scientific doctrine which reinforces the rigidity of power alignment within scientific community would lead to the creation of multiple research programmes tolerating and allowing cognitive and interpretative diversity. Scientific freedom and democracy of science do not rest on dogmatic certainty but on uncertain diversity.
