최근 증가하는 사이버폭력이 사회문제로 대두되면서 청소년층을 대상으로 한 사이버폭력에 대한 많은 선행연구들이 진행되어 왔다. 하지만 이런 사이버폭력에 대한 문제는 단지 청소년층에 한정된 것이 아닌 성인층에서도 동일하게 발생하고 있음에도 불구하고 성인층을 대상으로 한 사이버폭력에 대한 연구는 매우 부족한 편이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국인터넷진흥원의「2014년 사이버폭력 실태조사」를 사용하여 성인들의 사이버폭력에 대한 실증분석을 실시하고 있다. 본 연구의 분석결과에 따르면 청소년들과 동일하게 사이버폭력 피해를 경험한 성인들은 사이버폭력 가해에 가담할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 법적처벌을 인식할수록 그리고 가족 간의 관계가 좋을수록 사이버폭력 가해행위에 가담할 가능성은 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 사이버폭력 피해를 당한 성인들의 사이버폭력 가해행위에 가담할 가능성을 줄일 수 있는 방안들에 대한 교차항 분석은 유의미하지가 않다. 이런 본 연구의 분석결과는 성인들을 대상으로 한 사이버폭력에 대한 학문적·정책적 시사점을 제시해준다.
Abstract
Although a number of studies have examined factors that influence youth cyberviolence, only a few have analyzed the effects of those factors on adult’s cyberviolence. Thus, this study examines the relationship between victimized experience and cyberviolence behavior of adult victims. Using the 2014 Korean Internet& Security Agency’s survey on cybervioelnce, we found that cyberviolence victimized experience affects the probability of committing cyberviolence of adults. However, we found no positive effect on the decrease of cyberviolence among adults. The findings of this study suggest that research on cyberviolence should take into account an adult group as well as youths. Also, future studies on cyberviolence should take factors into consideration associated with the decrease of cyberviolence among adults.
