Abstract

[INTRODUCTION] This study was to examinate the effects of warm-up and cool-down intensity using anaerobic threshold(AT) standard by which to aerobic and anaerobic energy metabolism. [METHOD] The subjects of this examination are 13 men who took anaerobic maximal exercise to know effect of warm-up and cool-down. Warm-up experiment divided into 120%AT, AT, 80%AT exercise intensity group, increased by steps from 80%AT to 120%AT group and warm-up control group when warm-up, who measured blood lactate, VO2, maximal power and average power. Cool-down experiment divided into AT, 80%AT, 50%AT exercise intensity group, increased by steps from 50%AT to AT, decreased by steps from AT to 50%AT group and cool-down control group, who measured blood lactate and VCO2. For better comparison of the differences and interactions between results of two-way repeated measures ANOVA was used to analyze the statistical data, and Tukey method was used to verify the significant analysis. [RESULT] There was statistically significant difference on overall intensity of warm-up exercise in VO2 and blood lactate but, no significant difference on anaerobic maximal exercise ability. There was statistically significant difference on overall intensity of cool-down exercise in VCO2 and blood lactate. [CONCLUSION] AT exercise intensity group on warm-up expected to have a positively influence on improving anaerobic maximal exercise. At 50%AT exercise intensity group and decreased by steps from AT to 50%AT exercise group to have a positively influencing recovery after anearobic execise on cool-down intensity.
