Abstract
Psychic distance between home country and host country will determine the level of overseas’ subsidiary management localization by influencing whole the process of communications and knowledge information management, though the empirical analyses were not thorough yet. Using 3-year average data of 127 Korean overseas' subsidiaries, this study showed the significant moderating effect on management localization of psychic distance consisting of two sub-dimensions: geographic distance and cultural distance. And by the empirical results of opposite directions of those two sub-dimensions’ effects, this study also ascertained the necessity of considering the multi-dimensional property of psychic distance concept.
