서울시 초등학교 통합교육 실태 및 특수/통합학급 교사들의 의견 조사 - 통합학급 음악교육 연구를 위한 기초 자료 -

Abstract

The purpose of this study was 1) to investigate the current status of inclusive education, and special/general education teacher opinions in elementary schools in Seoul, and 2) to provide suggestions for development of inclusive music education research and basic information for implementation of practical inclusive music education. The participants in this study were 135 special education teachers and 15 general education teachers who were responsible for inclusive classrooms, including students with disabilities. The findings are as follows: 1) Easy subject-oriented inclusive education is presently practiced for each subject (87.3%). However, the meaning of ‘easy’ in this context should be re-considered in the present subject management style for inclusive education. 2) Educated and experienced assistant staff members should be properly placed and used in classes. 3) Although development of teaching materials is needed in every subject, development of teaching materials in music, art, and physical education is the most urgent need. 4)The degree of satisfaction regarding support from schools is lower in Seoul than in other regions, and the degree of satisfaction among parents of mainstream students is lower than the degree of satisfaction among parents of students with disabilities. Results of an analysis of special/inclusive teacher opinions indicate that,1) Although music, art, and physical education are frequently included in inclusive education (82.0%), research regarding educational inclusion is presently insufficient for analysis. 2) The perception gap between special and general teachers needs to be eliminated, and 3) To promote harmony between students with disabilities and general students, a variety of programs in music, art, and physical education should be developed.
