시조의 해석정전 형성에 관한 연구 - 이병기·신석정의 『명시조 감상』(1958)을 중심으로

Abstract

Since its inception, modern sijo has had tasks of inheriting and innovating from the classical sijo and has evolved into the sijo we see today. Both classical sijo and modern sijo have long relied on each other, and this has helped sharpen their identities and thus shape concepts of how they should be interpreted and perceived. The classical sijo and moden sijo interpretations can be seen as mirrors that reflect them to each other well. Appreciation of Masterpieces of Sijo by Lee Byung-ki and Shin Seok-jung (1958) is the first and only book that treats the interpretation of modern sijo and classical sijo equally. The way of interpreting sijo revealed in Appreciation of Masterpieces of Sijo served as a bridge between classical sijo and modern sijo, sijo and modern poetry, sijo research and creation, writer training and literary education, and formed a canon of Sijo interpretation.
