본 연구는 2023년 기개발된 ‘지역 Space-MBTI’ 진단 체계를 89개 인구감소지역에 적용하여 그 진단 결과에 따른 지역 특성 유형화 분석을 실시하고 정책 시사점을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 72개 설문 문항이 재구상되어 일반주민과 공무원을 대상으로 89개 지역 6,874명에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 현재 지역 특성(As-is)에 있어서는 INTP(51개 지역), ENTP(26개 지역), INFP(9개 지역), ISTP(1개 지역), INTJ(1개 지역), ISFJ(1개 지역)으로 유형화 진단되었다. 희망 지역 특성(To-be)에 있어서는 현재 지역 특성보다는 여러개 유형으로 분포하는 것으로 진단되었다. ENTP(19개 지역), ESTP(19개 지역), ESFP(14개 지역), ESTJ(11개 지역), ENTJ(6개 지역), ESFJ(6개 지역), ENFJ(3개지역), ENFP(2개 지역), INTP(2개 지역), INTJ(2개 지역), ISFJ(2개 지역), ISTP(1 개 지역), ISFP(1개 지역), ISTJ(1개 지역)으로 다양하게 유형화되었다. 본 연구의 결과가 지방소멸에 대한 대응을 효과적으로 발전하기 위한 ‘제도적인 공론장(Institutional Arena)’으로서 역할을 담당할 수 있기를 기대해 본다.
Abstract
This study aims to apply the Regional Space-MBTI diagnostic system developed in 2023 to areas experiencing population decline, conducting an analysis to categorize regional characteristics based on the diagnostic results and to suggest policy implications. For this study, 72 survey questions were designed, and a survey was conducted targeting general residents and public officials, with 6,874 participants from 89 regions. In the analysis of the current regional characteristics (“as-is”), 51 regions were classified as INTP, 26 as ENTP, 9 as INFP, and 1 each as ISTP, INTJ, and ISFJ. For the desired regional characteristics (“to-be”), the analysis indicated a distribution of multiple types compared with the current characteristics. Notably, both ENTP and ESTP were found in 19 regions each, followed by ESFP in 14 regions, and ESTJ in 11 regions. The other types were categorized as ENTJ (six regions), ESFJ (six regions), ENFJ (three regions), ENFP (two regions), INTP (two regions), INTJ (two regions), ISFJ (two regions), ISTP (one region), ISFP (one region), and ISTJ (one region). It is hoped that the results of this study will serve as an institutional arena to effectively develop responses to the issue of regional extinction.
