컨벤션 전공학생의 전공선택 동기와 학업만족에 관한 질적 연구

초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the major selection motivation and curriculum of undergraduate students in the convention department. After conducting in-depth interviews with the students who have undergone the major selection process and studied the curriculum, we analyzed their statements with Colaizzi's method, a phenomenological study. This study explores the phenomena of experience whether there were any changes in the undergraduate students who are majoring convention management, on their major selection and curriculum. The study will also suggest areas of improvement regarding the experience which can be applied to students and the department. As a result, three categories, 'selecting the major,''satisfying the major,' and 'dissatisfying the major', and six sub-categories, 'self-initiated selection,' 'passive selection,' 'self-growth opportunity,' 'receiving positive external influence,' ' internal conflict,' and 'unsatisfactory learning environment ,' were found.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the major selection motivation and curriculum of undergraduate students in the convention department.
