연구 목적: 이 연구는 다양한 기관에서 장기간 근무하고 있는 재한 중국어 원어민교사들을 심층 면담 하여 그들이 한국사회 적응에 활용한 전략을 분석하는 데 목적을 둔다. 연구 방법: 본 연구는 재한 중국어 원어민교사의 한국사회 적응전략에 대해서 연구자의 내부자적 특성을 반영한 자문화기술지의 관점으로 현상학에 기반한 질적 연구 방법을 활용했다. 연구 내용: 재한 중국인 원어민교사 20명을 연구 참여자로 하여 면담자료를 현상학적 방법으로 분석하여 그들이 한국사회에서 정착하면서 자신에게 찾아온 언어적･문화적 어려움, 한국의 교육제도 및 근무환경으로 인한 어려움, 외로움(무기력함)과 스트레스로 인한 어려움 및 정체성의 변화로 인한 어려움을 극복하기 위해 사용한 적응전략을 도출하였다. 결론 및 제언: 재한 중국어 원어민교사들이 이주민으로서 어려움을 겪게 될 때 혼자만의 세계에 갇혀 있지 말고 같은 처지에 있는 이주민과의 개방적이고 적극적인 교류를 통해 네트워크의 선순환을 구축하면 좋을 것으로 생각된다. 이 연구는 이주민 재한 중국인 원어민교사들의 효율적이고 안정적인 한국 사회 정착을 위한 기초자료의 의의가 있다. 비록 연구대상 표본 규모의 한계성이 있으나 향후 더 광범위한 양적･질적 연구를 통해 이 연구를 보완하고자 한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the strategies used to adapt to Korean society by conducting in-depth interviews with native Chinese teachers in Korea who have been working at various institutions for a long time. This study used a qualitative research method based on phenomenology from the perspective of auto-ethnography that reflects the insider characteristics of researchers on the adaptation strategy of native Chinese teachers in Korea. Using 20 native Chinese teachers in Korea as research participants, interview data were analyzed phenomenologically to derive adaptation strategies used to overcome difficulties caused by language, culture, Korean education, working environment, loneliness, stress and changes in identity they encountered while settling in Korean society. It would be good to establish a virtuous cycle of the network through open and active exchanges with migrants in the same situation, rather than being trapped in a world of their own. This study is meaningful as basic data for the efficient and stable settlement of Korean society for native Chinese teachers in Korea. Although there are limitations in the size of the sample to be studied, it intended to supplement this study through wider quantitative and qualitative studies in the future.
