Abstract

This study aimed to confirm the immune effect of meditation and to identify the potential of meditation for COVID-19. First, the immune effect of meditation was examined by dividing it into non-specific immunity and specific immunity. Next, the immune characteristics of COVID-19 were identified. In conclusion, COVID-19 infected patients had high pro-inflammatory cytokines and low anti-inflammatory cytokines. On the other hand, the immune effect of meditation, on the contrary, reduces the pro-inflammatory cytokine, but increases the anti-inflammatory cytokine to increase immunity. This conflicting effect shows the possibility of canceling the effect of COVID-19 through meditation.
