복합양식 텍스트의 비판적 분석과 국어교육적 활용 -환경 분야 다큐멘터리의 ‘소거’와 ‘현저성’ 분석을 중심으로-

이 연구는 복합양식 텍스트를 비판적으로 분석하고, 국어교육적 활용 방안을 구안하는 것이 목적이다. 환경 분야 다큐멘터리를 대상으로 삼아 생태언어학의 소거(erasure)와 현저성(salience)에 대한 분석을 시도한다. 그리고 분석 결과를 활용하여 복합양식 텍스트의 비판적 수용에 관한 학습 활동을 구안해 볼 것이다. 이를 위해 우선 ‘소거’와 ‘현저성’의 분석틀을 환경 분야 다큐멘터리의 특성에 따라 제시하였다. 음성 언어 및 문자 언어와 영상 언어로 범주화한 다음, 전자는 어휘와 문법을, 후자는 카메라의 영상 문법을 각각의 세부 요소로 제시하였다. 그리고 이들 세부 요소를 적용하여 한 편의 환경 분야 다큐멘터리에서 소거와 현저성 양상이 어떻게 실현되어 있는지 실제로 분석해 보았다. 이 작업은 영상 언어, 문자 언어, 음성 언어 각각의 형태적 특징을 기술하는 것과, 이들이 함께 어우러져 구성하는 의도성을 판단하는 과정이었다. 끝으로 실제 분석한 결과를 토대로 국어교육에서 복합양식 텍스트의 비판적 수용에 관한 학습 활동을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 비판적 수용이 관점과 가치 판단이라는 교육과정 실행의 방향성을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 기존 학습 활동이 이러한 방향성을 온전히 담보하지 못함을 포착하고, 학습자가 복합양식 텍스트의 표현 방법에 대한 언어적, 기호적 형태를 탐구하고 텍스트가 발현하는 사회문화적 의미를 재인식하는 일련의 활동을 구안해 보았다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze a multimodal text critically, and to make a way for Korean language education. It would figure out the “erasure” and “salience” among the elements of the ecolinguistics for a documentary. Through these analyzing works, it would suggest a learning activity of Korean subjects for about the critical acceptance of a multimodal text. Concretely, this study subdivides expressional forms of “erasure” and “salience” by media characteristics of documentary. It divides the category into a spoken language, a written language, and a image language. The spoken and written language gets subelement on the vocabulary and grammar. The image language gets subelement on the image grammar of the camera works. And then, this study analyzes a documentary about a field of environment by applying these subelement, and finds out the erasure and salience aspects of realization in it. This work is a process to describe features of each forms of the image, written, spoken language, and to determine intentions constructing by features of these forms together. Finally, this study suggest a learning activity for the critical acceptance of a multimodal text in Korean language education on a basis of the analysis results. It checks an orientation of curriculum, the critical acceptance emphasizes a determination of the perspectives and the values. And it catches current leaning activities could not be guaranteed by these orientations. This study makes a series of learning activities, which learners could investigate the linguistic․semiotic features of erasure and salience expressions in a multimodal text, and recognizes the perspectives and values in that text.
