Abstract

This study aims to redefine the concept of business sports team for people with disabilities by analyzing the structural limitations of their institutional foundations from the multifaceted perspectives of disability, sport, and employment. To achieve this, a critical literature review was conducted, along with legal and discourse analysis. The results reveal that business sports team for people with disabilities are not simply elite sports teams or a means of employment for people with disabilities; they are complex organizations that serve as a starting point for the careers of people with disabilities and a platform for social integration. Institutionally, they possess multifaceted value: they serve as a hub for the convergence of disabled sports and employment, enabling national sports competitiveness and an inclusive society. For operating entities such as public institutions and companies, they provide opportunities to fulfill their social responsibilities. For disabled athletes, these organizations possess multifaceted value: they provide a stable self-identity and a foundation for their careers. Based on this analysis, the concept of business sports team for people with disabilities needs to be redefined from a more integrated and practical perspective, and corresponding policy support and institutional reforms are essential.
