해운은 타 산업과는 달리 호황과 불황의 주기가 매우 긴 편이다. 1995년 WTO의 출범은 세계적으로 교역의 확대뿐만 아니라 금융자본을 비롯한 많은 자원들의 세계화를 이끌었다. 경기의 순환에 종속적인 해운경기는 세계화에 힘입었던 10년의 호황을 마치고 지금은 다시 불황의 주기에 있다. 하지만 지금의 해운 불황은 주기성 외에 큰 사조의 변화를 수반하고 있다. 비단 세계경기의 장기침체 외에도 장기적으로 보면 해운시장의 외부환경에는 주요한 변화들이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 해운산업의 외부환경변화에 대처하기 위하여 세계 1위 머스크 선사가 제공하는 새로운 패러다임의 서비스인 머스크 데일리 서비스를 통해 단순히 선복 규모의 문제가 아닌 해상공급사슬관리 전략의 중요성에 대해 알아보았다. 머스크 선사가 제공하는 데일리 서비스는 화주 위주의 서비스로 해상공급사슬관리에서 시작되며, 공급사슬과 파트너가 존재함으로써 가능하다. 머스크 선사의 해상공급사슬관리를 통해 해운산업에 관련된 파트너들과의 협업의 중요성에 대해 분석함으로써 우리나라 선사들에게 해상공급사슬관리의 중요성과 필요성을 제시한다.
Abstract
The aim of this paper first is to know how threatening factors exist on the Asia-Europe liner service among external/internal factors ; economical, technical, environmental, legal, political factors based on the Resource Based Theory and Contingency Theory. And then through the Maersk Liner’s New Service so called Daily Service we figure out strategy points to the existing liners. We can found that the Maersk won price and service competitiveness against poor Asia-Europe root. Moreover they lead an environmental factor for the future in the shipping industry. Consequently, the Mearsk liner focuses price competitiveness by economy scale and service competitiveness by considering customer(shipper), which any other liners did not try.
