이 연구는 생태 위기 리터러시 교육을 개념화하는 것이 목적이다. 생태 위기 리터러시의 개념을 정립하고, 그 교육적 방안을 설계하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 리터러시 개념 변화의 양상을 살폈다. 동시에 리터러시의 개념은 사회 변화에 따라 확장되어 간다는 사실을 확인하였다. 그런 다음 위기 사회의 개념을 바탕으로 생태 위기 사회를 규정하였다. 그리고 생태 위기 사회에 필요한 리터러시의 개념화를 위해 생태언어학을 도입하였다. 일련의 논의를 바탕으로 생태 위기 리터러시 교육의 목표를 설정하고 교육 내용을 구성하였다. 생태 위기 리터러시 교육의 목표를 생태 위기 사회에서 텍스트에 배태된 생태 위기 현상을 소통하고 이를 극복할 수 있는 실천적 사고 역량으로 설정하였다. 끝으로 생태언어학의 방법론적 내용을 학습자의 수행적 내용으로 변환하여, ‘지속가능성의 사고 방식, 지속가능성의 가치 판단, 지속가능성의 공동체 문화’의 세 범주에서 생태 위기 리터러시 교육의 내용을 마련하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to conceptualize ecological crisis literacy education. It establishes the concept of ecological crisis literacy and designs educational strategies for its implementation. To accomplish this aims, the study first examines the evolution of the concept of literacy, confirming that literacy expands in response to societal changes. Subsequently, it defines an ecological crisis society based on the concept of a crisis society. To conceptualize the literacy required in an ecological crisis society, ecolinguistics is introduced as a theoretical framework. Based on these discussions, the study sets the objectives of ecological crisis literacy education and develops its curriculum. The primary goal of this education is to cultivate critical thinking skills that enable learners to communicate and address ecological crises embedded in texts within an ecological crisis society. Lastly, the methodological aspects of ecolinguistics are adapted into actionable content for learners. The curriculum is organized into three categories: “thinking for sustainability,” “value judgment for sustainability,” and “community culture for sustainability,” providing a framework for education.
