한국판 노인불안척도(K-GAS)의 신뢰도 및 타당도 연구

초록

노인의 불안 증상은 기능 상실, 인지기능 저하 및 삶의 질 손상과 같은 여러 부정적 요소와 관련이 있음에도 불구하고, 국내에서 노인 특정적 일반적 불안 수준을 측정하는 도구가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 노인불안척도(Geriatric Anxiety Scale; Segal, June, Payne, Coolidge & Yochim, 2010)를 우리말로 번안한 뒤 서울시에 거주하는 60세 이상의 일반 노인을 대상으로 한국판 노인불안척도(K-GAS)를 실시하였다. 총 124명의 자료가 연구에 사용되었으며, K-GAS의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 신뢰도 검증을 위해 내적 일치도를 확인한 결과, 우수한 신뢰도를 보였다(Cronbach’s α = .93). 타당도 검증 결과, 수렴 및 동시타당도가 적합하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과 기존 척도와 동일한 3요인이 적합함을 확인하였으며, 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 국내 최초로 K-GAS의 신뢰도 및 타당도를 검증하였다는 의의가 있으며, 향후 국내 노인을 대상으로 한 치료적 개입 및 연구 시 유용한 도구로 활용되기를 기대한다.

Abstract

Although anxiety symptoms in the elderly are related to several negative factors such as loss of function, cognitive decline, and damage to quality of life, there is a lack of an elderly-specific anxiety scale. Therefore, this study aimed to translate the Geriatric Anxiety Scale in-to Korean and, explore the reliability and validity of the Korean version of the GAS(K-GAS). As we administered the K-GAS to 124 elderly individuals, we demonstrated a good level of internal consistency(Cronbach’s α = .931) and convergent and concurrent validity. An exploratory factor analysis revealed that a three-factor solution could be derived from the K-GAS. Also, confirmatory factor analysis was assessed. These factors corresponded to the original subscales: affective, cognitive, and somatic. The K-GAS could be useful for the early detection and intervention of anxiety in elderly Koreans.
