코로나19로 인한 전면적인 비대면 강의로 대학교육이 엄청난 변화에 직면했다. 온라인을 기반으로 하는 비대면 강의가 뉴노멀로 등장하면서 교양교육 또한 내용과 방법 그리고 방향을 재설정해야 한다는 필요성이 대두되었다. 이 글에서는 철학적 배경을 통해서 뉴노멀 시대의 교양교육의 방향을 모색하고자 한다. 아감벤(G. Agamben)과 하이데거(M. Heidegger)의 논의를 뉴노멀의 철학적 근거로 제시하였다. 특히 ‘백색 페이지의 경험’의 회복과 평균화의 문제를 극복하기 위한‘현존재’의 철학에 주목하였다. 교양교육의 방안으로는 전문지식과 통합지식의융합, 환경문제와 기후변화 교육, 디지털 리터러시 교육, 세계시민 교육의 강화, 교양교육의 평생교육 패러다임으로의 전환 등을 제시하였다.
Abstract
University education is facing an enormous change in the wake of fullscale uncontact teaching made necessary by covid crisis. In these times when online-based uncontact teaching has become the new normal, there rises a need to reset the substance and method, the whole direction of liberal education. In this study, we try to search for the philosophical basis of new directions of liberal education in the age of new normal. We offer the views of G. Agamben and M. Heidegger as the philosophical ground of new normal, especially the philosophy of "Dasein" which seeks to restore "the experience of white paper" and overcome the problems of standardization. We propose as the new courses of liberal education the integration of general and specialized knowledge, the education of environmental issues and climate change, the stress in education of global citizenship, and the transformation of liberal education into a new paradigm of lifelong learning.
