Abstract
Recently, as part of lifelong Korean language education, education for writing life history of adult learners is being conducted. This study aims to find out the information on adult learners' perceptions of the life history writing program. To this end, the purpose of this study is to develop a scale of perception of writing life history and to verify the validity and reliability of the scale. This study went through a four-step research process to develop a life history writing program perception scale. First, an open-ended question was written by reviewing previous studies and reviewing the operation status of the life history writing program. Interview surveys were conducted on open-ended questions for 23 adult learners. Second, the first preliminary question was written and the validity of the question was verified by conducting in-depth expert interviews. As a result, the second preliminary question was written. Third, a preliminary survey was conducted on the second preliminary questionnaire for 25 adult learners. The results were analyzed to correct and supplement the questions. And finally, 33 questions were confirmed. Finally, to verify the suitability of the factor structure of the final questionnaire, questionnaire data (494 people) of 494 adult learners in their late 20s to 80s were collected and analyzed. The collected data were analyzed through inductive category analysis (open questionnaire data), technical statistics, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and reliability test (Cronbach's ⍺). Through this process, this study developed a 26-item scale that measures the perception information about the life history writing program recognized by adult learners, and verified the reliability and validity of this scale.
