초등임용시험 문항 분석: ‘초등학교 교육과정’의 국어과 문항을 중심으로

이 연구에서는 현행 공립 초등학교 교사 임용후보자 선정경쟁시험(초등임용시험) 1차 전형 평가 도구의 하나인 ‘초등학교 교육과정’에 포함된 국어과 문항을 분석한 뒤, 그 결과를 토대로 국어과 문항의 개선 방향에 대해 제언하였다. 분석 대상은 현행 평가 체제가 도입된 2013학년도 이후 출제된 5년간의 국어과 문항(총 15 대문항)으로, 문항의 형식적 특성과 내용적 특성을 중심으로 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 국어과 문항은 형식적 측면에서 대체로 각 대문항별로 하나의 교수· 학습 상황을 설정하고 여러 가지 수업 정보와 자료(학습목표, 학습계획, 지도내용, 글 자료, 학생 반응 자료 등)를 공유된 상태에서 하위 문항을 제시하는 특징을 보였다. 내용적 측면에서 국어과 문항은 교과 내용 지식을 평가하는 비중이 높아 상대 적으로 교수학적 지식이나 학습자 지식에 관한 문항이 부족하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 교과 내용 지식 문항의 수준(난도)이 낮고 대문항에서 전제한 수업 정보 및 자료와 유리된 탈맥락적 문항이 많다는 점, 저학년 관련 문항의 비율이 낮다는 점, 읽기와 문학 영역을 중심으로 출제되고 있다는 점, 교사의 평가 전문성과 관련된 문항을 찾기 어렵다는 점 등도 파악할 수 있었다. 이상의 분석 결과를 토대로 국어과 문항의 개선 방향에 대해 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study aimed to analyze Korean Language Arts items in the first screening stage of the Elementary Teacher Employment Exam and provide suggestions for improving the items. A total of 15 unit items between academic years of 2013 and 2017 were analyzed with a particular focus on the format and content of the items. The results showed that Korean Language Arts items showed a unique format that consisted of one educational situation and its relevant educational information such as the lesson objective, teaching plan, contents, reading materials, and student responses. Several points of improvement for the content were also found as in the skewed distribution of the items. The questions, for instance, privileged subject content knowledge as well as the reading and literature domain, while items that test the examinees’ pedagogical knowledge, student knowledge, familiarity with lower grade level students, and expertise in assessment were relatively scarce. Also, not only were the questions consisted of low difficulty item but they were also often presented in a decontextualized form. Suggestions for improvement based on the analytic findings are discussed at the end.
