대학생 토론대회의 현황과 개선방안－중앙선거방송토론위원회 주최 토론대회 사례를 중심으로

본 연구는 토론대회의 개선방안을 모색하기 위하여 중앙선거방송토론위원회가 주최한 토론대회의 현황과 설문조사 결과를 분석하였다. 분석을 위해서는 국내 토론대회의 개최현황과 2009년과 2010년 중앙선거방송토론위원회가 주최한 토론대회에 참가한 대학생들의 설문조사를 활용하였다. 이것을 바탕으로 그동안 나타났던 문제점을 살펴보고 그에 따른 개선방안을 마련하였다. 토론대회의 개선방안으로는 대회 개최시기의 조정, 참가 대학생들의 확대, 대회의 체계적인 운영, 토론진행방식의 보완을 제시하였다. 결국 대학생들의 참여율을 높이고 우리나라 토론문화를 보다 더 활성화하기 위한 방안이다.
Abstract
This study analyzed the present condition of competitive debates sponsored by the National Election Broadcasting Debate Commission in order to find means for their improvement. This analysis focused particularly on questionnaires by university students who participated in debate championships in 2009 and 2010. Based on the results, problems were examined and recommendations for improvement were made. Specific recommendations included selection of a fixed annual schedule, efforts to increase the number of participating students, implementation of a systematic operating system, and alteration of the debate format. Ultimately, the goal is to increase the participation rate of university students and to promote debate culture in Korea.
