고급 수준의 한국어 학습자들이 지닌 ‘시’ 문학 교육에 대한 선입견, 경험 및 노래와 시 장르 간 특징에 대한 인식 양상 조사는 본 사례연구의 출발점이 되었다. 대중가요와 시의 장르 통합적 접근을 시도한 본고에서의 교육 방법은 상호 텍스트성, 독자반응 이론, 대화주의 이론 및 신문식성의 변증법적 성격을 근간으로 한다. 본고의 연구문제는 첫째, 대중가요의 가사를 시화(詩化)하여 음미하는 시적 사유의 과정, 뮤직비디오 감상 등의 활동이 시 쓰기를 위한 한국어 학습자 동기화에 기여하는 양상은 어떠한가? 둘째, 시 쓰기가 실용적 글쓰기와 다른 성격의 활동이라 여기는 학습자 태도가 발견되는가? 그러한 정서적 기제(機制)는 무엇인가? 셋째, 영상 매체 활용의 시 쓰기 활동 후 실제 한국어 학습자들이 느낀 교육적 의의는 무엇인가? 라는 것이다. 본 연구의 교육적 효과는 먼저 영상 언어와 문자 언어, 대중문화와 고급문화의 융합을 통해 신문식성의 효과적 신장 가능성을 확인하였다는 점이다. 또한 내적 대화를 위한 준비 단계 활성화의 계기가 되었다는 점을 들 수 있다. 자기표현적 시 쓰기 활동을 통해 한국어의 가치 또한 기능 중심에서 존재론적인 체험에로 나아갔다는 점, 언어자아의 발달을 통해 상호작용적인 의사소통 구조 활성화의 비계가 되었다는 점, ‘학습자 중심’ 교수에서 ‘교사 역할의 중요성’에 대한 실제 학습자들의 인식을 확인하였다는 점 등을 들 수 있다.
Abstract
The starting point of this case study is the study of experience and perception regarding the characteristics of songs and the poetry genre in the poetry literature education of advanced Korean learners. The method of education in this study is based on intertextuality, the theory of reader response, new literacy, and so on. This study addresses the following research questions: First, what effects do activities such as listening to popular songs and music videos have on the motivation of Korean learners to write poetry? Second, does a learner find poetry writing to be different from practical writing? Third, what is the educational significance of the Korean learners after writing activities using song and poetry? The educational effect of this study is that it confirms the possibility of effective expansion of new literacy by promoting the convergence of visual and text languages and popular and high culture. In addition, it is the occasion of the activation of preparatory stage for inner dialogue. Furthermore, self-expressive poetry writing activities have enabled a shift in the value of Korean language from being a functional to an ontological experience, such that it has become a framework for the activation of interactive communication structures through the development of a language self and enables the teacher to play a crucial role in the student-centered approach.
